Check out this video....
|
Reminds me of an old Indiana Jones movie when Indy pulls a gun on a guy doing that......
Still think its odd that those guys never use a saya........ guess the sageo is to complicated for them....... Guess he left his zanshin in the dressingroom aswell......... |
Oh my...there are no words.

I couldn't do that. Can't think of any reason why I would want to but. . .
Anyway, looks like he practiced a lot and that is good. |
What the.....!
|
Is this what they call extreme martial arts?
Give the guy a different 'skirt' , a baton and some pompoms or whatever they are called..... But I admit, the flipe are impressive, somewhat useless but impressive.... |
One thing would stop that guy!
A hard men on the head, nice and simple http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/biggrin.gif. |
I must say that the video was quite impressive. Since I am on a lab computer and at work managing this lab (zzzzzzz...zzzzzzzz.zzzzzzz), I don't have the sound up.
If that's what he wants to do, then it's no problem with me. As long as he doesn't come to me saying that he can kick my ass with his sword or go into a Kendo/Iaido/"insert sword art here" dojo with overconfidence under his belt, then it's not really affecting me at all. Our goals are different. His seems to be just to learn to use a sword while ours is to learn a martial art. If his goal is to learn a martial art, then I pray to God (or whatever deity you worship/not worship) that he at least has some plans on going to a dojo or something. By the way, who teaches this kind of stuff to people? We hear about martial artists teaching other people, but I have never heard of anyone teaching freestyle fighting with the likes of it, or at least it hasn't been advertised. |
well.......cool !
|
BS swordwork, but it's still pretty impressive, athletically speaking.

He probably does practice iaido and some kind of gymnastics or dance work to perform that stuff, Its totaly un related to any martial art, just fun to watch.. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/biggrin.gif |

You know what is really a shame... he shows great physical/athletic aptitude and chooses to spend it on dance. I bet with a good teacher, he could be pretty good.. you know, at actual budo. Oh well... to each his own...
|
its impressive but total bs. you could never swing a samurai sword that fast. i dont care who you are. and the flips are worthless.
|
The Star Wars kid could take him.
end of story |
I think this guy could have a future in cheesy 80's ninja movies...if he could go back in time...AMERICAN NINJA SAMURAI RETURNS
you know... When evil reigned... When darkness prevailed. One man... One man, who was a master of the ancient samurai arts of Japan... One man against all odds... Blah blah blah |
That's one funny vid. I'd reminded me of that discovery channel docu/ commercial thing. Terrible sword work and the poor discovery people though they where filming experts.
This is gymnastics with a fake sword. XMA= JSA BS. Then there is the background music, hilarious. What's the screaming for anyway. A proper kiai is nice, but this kid is screaming as if something ruptured. The sad thing where the parents (maybe?) who where cheering for him and they sounded so proud. I would be embarrassed if someone I knew did this kind of BS and act as if I didn’t know him during his performance. |
That was obviously the tryouts of the new live action anime~
_=-~*XxXI*XXSAMURAISLAYERMASTERSOFTHENETHERREALMXX*iX xX*~-=_ and those cartoon guys to his left, our right were his faithful sidekicks X-XxKenshinFeygotFaceSmamuraxX-X, "That one guy," and X-XBowlHatMasterX-X!!!!!! SO EXTREME!!!! |
Just stand there in chudan...what could he do? Fall over with exhaustion...http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/smoker.gif http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/smoker.gif
