Anyone watching Hex????
 

I noticed in the 'next weeks preview' of this weeks episode of Hex, that there were some clips of two people in bogu sparring.

The next episode airs on Sunday 6th Nov on SKY One

It will be interesting to see how it turns out on TV. The guy that choreographed this fight sequence worked on Gladiator fight sequences.

PLEASE watch and record this. Me, Joe and Tony and some other London Kendoka went for filming for Hexx a few months ago so you may catch a glimpse of us. The people fighting are none other than Honda Sensei, the UK squad coach and one of his students.

I guarantee the teacher evil demon sensei guy is going to give say something like 'sutemi, sacrificing yourself entirely to your cut, this is the basis for everything you do in kendo' and then leon is going to be like 'what tsunami?' har har har. By take 56 you get the idea.

What is Hex? Why don't we get it in the states? and how's London? Haven't been for a visit in several years.

Hex, I guess its sort of an English version of Buffy, but better, with 'good' witches fighting fallen angels...

It's a bit crap really. But it's Kendo on TV so who cares right?

I remember Honda-sensei talking about it in the pub about a week after it was filmed. They said wanted to have one of them win using "dirty" kendo.

Oh yeah something about razor blades in kote as well.

Look out for the best part where the guy takes of his men without untying it!

It was a pretty bad representation of Kendo. Our bit was OK, but the actual fight was basically one person smacking the other with a shinai repeatedly without the attackee fighting back. He takes his men off and his heads been split open. The girl then proceeds to strangle the teacher to death. Not exactly good press.

Then again, between the two kendo bits, the demon priest does indeed bend the ugly student girl over his desk.

Next thing the beginners will be asking will be "When do we learn to split heads open?"

Or possibly, 'how can I get involved with a bisexual witch who kicks ass?'

Of course we wouldn't want any beginners asking 'how do I cleave this person in half with a sword?' now, would we...
