taekwondo hapkido ninjutsu meditation kickboxing then I read the Tao of Jeet Kune Do and that drastically changed my view on the MA Now 8 yrs later..... Kendo till the end http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/devious.gif |
3years wado-ryu karate and some jiu jiutsu before but I'm thinking of doing some other martial art next to kendo when I can choose between aikido, iaido or starting with karate again.
It does take alot of time to do something good. I first would like to achieve a certain level of kendo that I feel confident with it myself. |
*insert some stupid "losing of martial arts virginity" phrase here* http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/silly.gif
Kendo is my first. |
I took 3 years of Tang Soo Do when I was living in Alabama. Now I have fond Kendo once I got to college and I don't have any plans on leaving

Wasn't interessted in martial arts until I realized that we had a kendo club in my hometown. I started to practice as soon as the summer break was over. 4 years later I'm still in to kendo and even live in Japan.

1.5 years or so of aikido, a long hiatus from MA then around age 14 I went into kendo.

Pure for me.
I never had an interest in martial arts untill I was introduced to kendo. |
I've always had an interest in martial arts in general, but Kendo is only one I've ever actually studied. And I'm in love. So much so that as I type this, I am wearing the do of the (heavily) used club bogu I was granted just on Friday and I'm thinking I haven't smelled anything this good since my wife. Really.

But now a very happy convert. |
10+ years JuiJitsu.
Always had kendo in the back of my mind as something to do when I get Older. Well last year I realized I was old! and sick of the constant injuries after JuiJitsu training. Now after 1 year of kendo I realize that injuries are something to you can live with as long as your motivated enough. Thank You Kendo for new motivation and different injuries!http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/devious.gif |
