Ideas needed...
 

So...me and my Partner both play Kendo and recently brought back a mammoth bottle of Sake' (Nihonshu) from Japan. We intend to have a small get-together for members from our lil' Dojo soon. We will be having a bit of a Japanese theme I guess...Sake, Sushi, Sashimi, Kendo DVD's etc etc...what I want to know is....

Does anyone have any ideas for like games we could all play, like ...I dunno...maybe "Pin the moustache on Sensei" or maybe that Japanese dice game they play in Zatoichi (is it Goh??) or something like that. And the loser drinks one more Nip of Sake each time (or winner depending how you look at it).

It needs to be fun and sociable and most of all Fun. Please, no dirty game ideas (Spin the shinai or anything like that) cause Sensei will be there and he is 50 something and I don't wanna get Tsuki'd by him next time during Jigeiko.
Please help me and let some good ideas fly???

Go is the Japanese name for the territorial board game on the 19x19 board.
Wei Chi in Chinese where the game originated.

But another game played on the same board is much quicker and literally is 'Go', get 5 stones in a row, sort of like an expanded Tic Tac Toe.

If you have the equipment, Karaoke is always nice.

why not dirty games? The japanese are into dirty stuff... for any english kendoka i point out sumi sensei's kata!

if not you could have a game where you see how many garins of uncooked rice you can pick up with chopsticks in thirty seconds... i'm always good at that one!

KARAOKE...get a magic mic!!!!

Yeah...though I'm not a fan of karaoke, it seems to go well with sake.

How bout making a ninja pinata and swing your bokuto around blindfolded trying to hit it. Or you could use a cutting blade for a little more exitement... hmmm...sake,shinken,pinata, yep thats all you should need.

Get a watermellon and a bokken. One at a time each person gets blindfolded, spun around three times and pointed in the direction of the watermellon. The crowd yells left, right forward and you get one shot at smashing it. Always fun.

Cool...I must admit there is some really good ideas coming out here. Thanks to you all...unfortunately Karaoke is out of the question as I don't have all the gear (and I don't wanna crack the windows)...but I like these other ideas and I might use a few of them....Keep em comin' if you want to?
