Did not know where to post this one
![]() One of my colleagues had a nipple ring torn off during keiko. Ouch!! Apart from the obvious (ie remove jewelry, tape down rings) does anyone have other advice? BTW is there women's bogu out-there with special padding or special features that might offer better protection. I heard Nike had something but I could not find a retailer. |

they make molded plastic breast-plate things for female fencers. you wear them under your clothes ... could work for Kendo too perhaps. would go under the Gi, and sits low enough that it shouldn't look like you're wearing it. I doubt they cost much. Not sure how the Bogu would fit over it, but since the breast-plate thing is so form fitting, it shouldn't be too much of an issue. a sports bra that's a little too small can also help.
