Do whatever you want to do.

But, I would suggest that you focus on one martial art at a time.

I wanted to chime in just to say that you can enter just about every martial art as a novice.

If you're reasonably fit, and don't have some sort of extremely debilitating disability and your teacher can't teach you, then it's my humble opinion that that teacher is not very good.

some MA might be harder to get the basics down in than others, but to flat out say you can't is something else.

I tear what's left of my hair out when a karate guy turns up, especially shotokan types... the long stance for iai cutting is close but different enough to their long stance that its very difficult to seperate the two in their heads. It drives me mad trying to work out ways to get them doing my stance properly...

How to really 'hook' a karate guy:

" how many moves in pinan yondan(or put any kata name here)?"

"about 30..."

"So why cant you do just the 4 in mae then?"http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/evil.gif

Gets 'em every time...http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/biggrin.gif http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/biggrin.gif http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/biggrin.gif If they stay I casually mention there are 30 basic mistakes to make...and thousands of detail points.

Just a question:
I took a look at the homepage and then at "Founded systems" or something like that.
Next to the description of iaido there's a picture of a woman holding a sword... Is that their idea of iaido? I mean, what's she wearing? http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo.../surprised.gif
