New to Japanese Fighting.

Okay I like to learn interesting things for fun, mainly because I like to write stories. Well I was thinking about the way the Japanese fight, and I did some research but none really answered to much of the questions I had. Could someone either give me help, OR post a link to a good information fight?

I came up with this;

kenjutsu is the art of the way the Japanese used swords, and it has a lot of different styles that can be used. I would like to know what these styles are (how they used there sword to attack and defend, ect..).

Jujutsu is the hand to hand combat, I don't know anything about this right now.. I was trying to learn Kenjutsu before this xD

If anyone has any information, could they please share?

Thanks.

if you are looking for 'japanese fighting', play ground with large number of japanese pre-teen kids would be ideal.. some where in the west. if you are looking for japanese martial art, try local dojo.

I personally have been rearing and fighting Japanese for many years and find it to be a very rewarding hobby. If you wish to start, a background in cock-fighting or maybe dog baiting would be an advantage.

I recently started rearing Yorkshiremen to fight, though the scene is not as big because most unfairly label the common Yorkshireman as un-exotic. I however find that they are ferocious once in the pit if you properly motivate them (for example, by removing they Yorkshire Puddings).

I look forward to seeing you on the circuit.

yorkshiremen.. yes.. a fine breed.. try feeding your brood yorkshire gold brewed in fine horse piss. i heard that really boils their blood for the pit.

personally i find yorkshiremen a bit soft on the whole fighting front.
unless you bait them first with phrases such as ''your round next'' and such

glaswegens, now they are a fine breed.
much like their canine counterparts, (most terriers)
they just keep going and never give up
i use a mix of stale beer and cold pizza in their feed and have had good results

unless english is your second language and you plan to write your 'stories' in your native tongue i would refer you here before any martial art information site.

good luck.

Ehhh what happened to the usual advise we give.... no one? OK I'll do it.

FIND A DOJO AND TAKE LOOK.

If you can't find one and you're into manga, you like to write stories, LARPing and/or the usual XMA crap is also option. (damn it, the youtube search function is down, so no funny vids this time http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...milies/mad.gif )

If you're really intrested and want to train JSA:
FIND A DOJO AND TAKE LOOK.

You can find a little about various Kobudo schools at Koryubooks.com
This is only an intro, but it would be able to point you in the right direction at least. You could allso search for the various Ryu-ha at wikipedia or google afterwards. (Hope this helps a little at least...)

i thought glaswegians are half drunk good for nothing when it comes to fight. unless you stuff them with bad beer, haggis topped with cheap whisky, and someone squeezing the cat under their left arm, they won't even get off the floor to pick up their own tv remote..

All true apart from the fighting. You average Glaswegian will run through a wall for a good fight. The only problem is stopping them from killing the punters afterwards.

They fight best on deep fried pizza.
