If you happen to be in NYC between now and the 20th of October, the Nippon Club (West 57th Street near 7th Ave) is hosting an exhibition of modern ukiyo-e (U Key O A) by a wonderful artitist from Japan, Ms. Mihashi Mari.

I had the pleasure of stopping by this afternoon on opening day and was not only treated to Ms. Mihashi's wonderful work, but was also honored - and frankly somewhat humbled - to have Ms. Mihashi prepare formal tea for me, something that is going to happen twice a day as I understand it throughout the exibition.
