Kendo Poem for 5 Year Old

My sempai's daughter has her fifth birthday tomorrow and so she'll be starting kendo now. I always like to write poems in kids' birthday cards and it's a big card so I wanted to put two in. I can't find one that references her name.

Does anyone know of any kendo related poetry? My poetry's crap - if you write one I'll reference your name!

If you want her name in the poem can you tell us her name?

oh and would a limerick be okay. Might be more entertaining for a 5 year old.

Lee

Oh yeah, I was thinking that and forgot - Hanne.

Hey, if I get enough poems, I'll type them up for her for Christmas http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/smile.gif

How is that pronounced?

Han, Han-neh, Han-nah, hannee?

Does it rhyme with "nantucket"?

It's the Danish spelling for Hannah, so the third one http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/smile.gif

Hannah the third.

Oooh sounds like royalty

Does it rhyme with "nantucket"? No, Hanne does not rhyme with "nantucket" but you get an extra gold star if you can get that to rhyme in a poem to Hanne about kendo. Make that two gold stars.

Okay got one.

Ahem

There was a young girl called Hanne
Who thought kendo is heaven sent manna
To fence with a shinai
Even though she is knee-high
And march with the Kendo World banner.

How's that for a first attempt

And now for the Nantucket version

There was a young girl called Hanne
Who thought kendo is heaven sent manna
She moved to Nantucket
With armour in bucket
And marched with the Kendo World banner.

I even did it without using the obvious phrase to rhyme with Nantucket. Does that get 3 stars?
