Help identify this color (possible Korean word, too?)

I'm trying to figure out just what color a dou is on the Sehyun (bogu) website.

I've got horrible resolution on my work monitor and the one at home and the pictures on the website really don't seem to be all that clear/defined.

This one is named "Bamsek"
http://www.sehyun-kumdo.com/images/d...or-1-large.gif

This one is named "Gureumun"
http://www.sehyun-kumdo.com/images/d...or-7-large.gif

Have no idea if the names indicate a shade of color or ..what..
Can someone help identify --- are these colors shades of RED or BROWN? (or...PURPLE?? ....or... what?)

I'd say the Guremun is a reddy brown with a hint of purple. The Bamsek is a browny red, with a homeopathic level of purple.

looks like the colour of dried blood http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/jaguar.gif

hard to tell from the glare though

Bamsek means chestnut color. Gureumun is actually not a color. If the transliteration is what I believe it is, it means "cloud pattern."

I have forwarded your links to Dulux paints to get the definitive colour (please note the correct spelling...ahem) on these two items. The accuracy of their verdict has been cross referenced and confirmed by the British Museum, the New York Times and Mrs Miggins of 42 Picklethwaite Drive, Nether Bollockton.

the first item has been officially given the name, "damson at twilight"
The second item has less officially been titled "the colour of testes after being kicked by a 15 stone woman wearing stilletos"

I am reliably informed that the latter of these two titles is a work in progress and subject to change. which is nice!

Oh and I guess you know that the actual meaning of the word 'gay' is happy?

So there we have it. Know the names of all the colours in the rainbow and you are guaranteed a lifetime full of joy.http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/smile.gif

Absolutely. i am on a mission to take back what is rightfully ours. The word Gay is a fine word which has been purloined by those with no imagination to think up their own word.

Mind given all the usual choice of phrases given to homosexuals you can see why they didn't go with any of the other options.

Let's not start a thread thinking up alternate names for homosexuals - probably a bridge too far methinks

So we could say that all gayness find it´s origin in you, or your words... which has been associated with you, by a free choice, regardless of having the whole spectrum of words to pick! did I got that right? ...oh, and now you ant all the gay´s back to you. picarón!

would it not match your usual brand?

Do you prefer Rimmel or Max Factor?
