For us tea drinkers
I went to class the other day and sensei had posted an article about tea and its benefits. The research shows that tea can help with concentration as well as health benefits. I have seen a few forum posts regarding lack of motivation or endurance and it seems that black/green teas can help. I just thought I would post this for who ever might be interested....he thought it was important so I figured I would post it.

I like the fact that the the liquid consumated from the steeping process of a tea leaf is called it's "Liquor."
~and not "Tea juice", which I had previously been calling it. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/biggrin.gif |
Feh, I drink a good sized pot or two of tea a day. If this is supposed to help concentration and motivation, I'd hate to see what I'm like without it!

i used to drink pg tips religiously.. then i had second TIA or what they thought was TIA but wasn't sure if it was actually TIA or heart attack. so the docs told me to stop drinking things with caffeine. for last month, i couldn't drink my cup of char in the morning. then found out it wasn't heart attack, but TIA brought on by low blood pressure and doc told me i need to keep my blood pressure up. so.. i'm back on pg tips, and Guinness like the world is going to come to its end tomorrow.. along with my diet coke.. life is good.

Green tea is good for you but careful with overdoing it, is a bit diuretic and tends to make you loose weight, might only be a problem if you are already skinny and have 5 or 6 cups a day instead of drinking enough water, like someone I know fairly well.
Also, a glass of wine a day (not a bottle Pete) is proven to be a very healthy thing to do. http://www.ynhh.org/online/nutrition.../red_wine.html |
In addition to the diuretic effect, green tea is said by some scentific studies to stimulate the burning of fat. Which also is good for exercise, since it can give you better endurance.
Bullet08: Regarding tea and blood pressure, tea brings the BP down, not up. |

I don't like green tea but adore jasmine tea and Mint tea.
Both are diuretic apparently and mint tea has the rather unpleasant side effect of releasing pent up gasses. Good for an upset stomach, not good for the nostrilshttp://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...milies/eek.gif |
