I went golfing yesterday for the first time this season, and the first time since I started Kendo two months ago.
Wow. Kendo was really helpful. I had better balance and "golf swing tenouchi"; but mostly, I was just much more focused. Ultimately I didn't score particularly well because I'm out of practice and missed some easy putts, but I was surprised to find the cross-training useful at all. I actually thought it would mess up my golf swing and I think it did the opposite. Anyone else had a similar experience? With golf? Or another non MA sport? |
