Dunno- I have an old Japanese Anime which is feature length I am assuming it is the live action of this.

I don't know of the TV series.

the animation version was really good. i have it on DVD and watch it from time to time. I think this live action version will be pretty good. Nice trailer--thanks for sharing.

The Actress would be Jeon Ji-Hyun.

She was in a popular Korean movie called "My Sassy Girl" where there was a scene with her doing Kendo. Also her rise to fame came from shooting a samsung printer commercial that was huge when I was in college. Oh how I used to love her.
