Default Bad kendo club site - warning
This is a warning about a kendo site that will try and install malware if you access it. It appears to be the site for the Reedly Kendo CLub, connected to the Bakersfield Budo Dojo in Calif.

http://kendoDOTonestopDOTnet

Couldn't find the club in the AUSKF listing, so I don't know if they are still active, but the site will do bad things if you don't have Virus protection updated and enabled. Don't attempt to access any link to this club's website.

Well i found the listing on the AUSKF website.
http://www.auskf.info/dojo/ca.htm

Accessed the website with a spare computer of mine that isn't used anymore. Had firewall + A/v on. No detection of any malware when i accessed the site.
But that might be because of my Antivirus. Note though, antiviruses can return search results that are false positive.

Thanks Exia for the up to date club listing. Dunno why I couldn't find it...

The reason I gave the warning is because both my Symantec Internet Worm Protection and Firefox itself detected an attack on one of my computer's ports by a recognised malware signature, coming from the URL I posted above.

Since picking up a rootkit trojan a few months ago that took six hours of work culminating in a full OS re-install, I have all my virus defs up-to-date across four different anti-malware applications. This is because, as you probably know, not all AV apps will get all known viruses.

So it's interesting that you didn't get any warning. I'd say that was reason enough to check out whether your AV protection is updated and comprehensive enough. If I get a warning from one of them, plus my browser, in my book that's enough of a reason to steer clear. And also to try and let the owners of the site know so they do something about it.
