Oh if only my schedule allowed for this much practice. On the one hand am quite jealous but on the other, I'm pretty sure if I tried this kind of schedule I'd be a walking zombie at work. Not a good thing since I work in a fast-paced biotech lab. It does help that one of my dojo is at my workplace and another two are within walking distance (I do regular practice at five dojo). |

I love praticing on saturdays, it gives a kind of zen feeling. I get up late (around 8), have some green tea, if it's warm outside I'll sand and reassemble my shinai in the garden, put on some shakuhachi music and slowly eat some fueling breakfast and then I drive to Kendo.
It's a complete contrast to practicing on weeknights, rushing home from work, having 10 minutes to stuff myself with something edible and then rush off again to Kendo, with a full stomach and 10 hours of computer work behind me. Saturday is the most popular training day for a reason, ne? |
