Just saw an announcement from SEUSKF President Ken Strawn that Larry Scanlon, who I believe may have been the head instructor at the Baltimore-Annapolis Kendo and Iaido Club, passed away over this past weekend from a heart attack.

It was my misfortune not to know Larry very well, but I knew of him extremely well and recognized him on sight at virtually every kendo event I've been to.
To my knowledge, he achieved the rank of 3.dan in both Kendo and Iaido.

For anyone who may have known him better, it'd be nice to hear some stories.
