With this being only my second experience interacting with those who follow Buddhism, it has been very positive and encouraging. I am hopeful to read and learn more over time.

Is it possible to be a Christian and follow the teachings of Buddha?
I can only give my opinion here, I can see no reason why a Christian could not begin to practice the teachings of Lord Buddha.I am not sure whether you would be either the same Christian or even recognisably Christian after practising diligently.But I do not think it would or could bar you from practising.
