my ghanta broke its striker
a buddhist practitioner asks: the striker fell off my ghanta (bell). how do I tie it back? There seems to be a technique, 'cause I can't thread it back. Please help. Thank you.

Hi ZopaKagyu, welcome to the group!
You should have a metal loop in the bowl of the bell and a loop on the striker. Tie them loosely together with a piece of string leaving about 1 to 2cm of string between the two. The widest end of the striker might probably hang about 1 to 1 and 1/2cm below the bottom edge of the bell. Hope that helps. with kind wishes Aloka-D http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/grin.gif |
An Anila once told me that someone had a loose bell handle and when ringing it halfway, the bottom half flew across the shrine hall lol

Finally. Thank you. many blessings. back to my practice.

The striker did not fall. No need to tie it back.
Your mind did fall. Just tie it softly. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/hands.gif |
