in his 2nd sermon, similar to science, buddha taught disease (roga) is due to the inherent impermanence of all conditioned phenomena

please note, the translation 'affliction' below comes for the Pali word 'roga', which means disease

I never saw this one either! And sadly, I think alot of Buddhists fail to see this teaching, or understand it. Many people in rural areas of Buddhist countries sometimes think that a sick man is sick, because of his past life Karma. But as you can see, even the Buddha had concluded something very scientific, and logical, to explain disease. How can so many people in the world miss these wonderful, logical, and scientific teachings? And to think, this all came from deeply looking at the world with no bias, and a clear and true intent to discover the truth of things. No science, no microscopes. Simply awareness of yourself, others, and the environment surrounding you.
