Rumours
Kubica to Ferrari if BMW do not resign him.
Raikkonen to retire if he wins a second WDC this year. BMW to bid for Alonso if they lost Kubica Heidfeld expected to stay at BMW Grosjean or Sato in shootout to replace Piquet this year Webber to Renault Massa to Renault Vettel to Red Bull Button stays at Honda. Barrichello leaves Honda Sato or Massa to Honda http://www.gpweek.com/ |
If Kimi retires and Ferrari doesn't want Alonso then where does Fernando go? I have a feeling BMW are very keen on keeping Kubica so I don't think there is room at BMW.
I can see Vettel going to Red Bull and Jenson staying at Honda. I can also see Rubens leaving Honda, either by choice or by force. |
Why would Massa want to go to Renault when he has a deal with Ferrari to the end of 2010, especially if Kimi retires and Ferrari don't want Alonso?!

Arguably Fleetwood Mac's best album.

Hmm, going by that list of rumours
Ferrari - Kubica and Raikkonen (perhaps) Mclaren - Lewis and Heikki BMW - Alonso and Heidfeld Renault - Webber and Sato? Grojean? Red Bull - Vettel and Crazy Dave Honda - Massa and Button Well... different would be an understatement If this was the case, I would want Renault to pull their heads out of their arses and design a bloody race winner http://www.motorsportforums.com/imag...ies/tongue.gif |

Ferrari would be Kubica & Massa Renault would be somebody and somebody, maybe it would be Piquet & Barichello? Red Bull will be Webber & Vettel. Mark has done very well at RBR and they are slowly getting better. Since Renault hasn't excelled that much it looks like a lateral move to me. Massa to Honda? I highly doubt it although they are going to get much better with Brawn there. Maybe they will go back to Button & Sato?? |

Furthermore to that, I heard that Rick Vito was planning to take Max's place as president of the FIA, and Christine McVie is in line to take Piquet's seat at Renault, as he appears to be the weakest link in the chain - No Questions Asked there http://www.motorsportforums.com/images/smilies/wink.gif
No, seriously it wouldn't surprise me to see the following happen though: Ferrari - Same as this year McLaren - Heikki and Hamilton BMW - Kubica and Alonso Renault - Webber and probably Grosjean. I'm not convinced about Sato's going there. Williams - Rosberg and ? Toyota - Trulli and Glock, with a two year extension on Trulli's contract 'til '11. Red Bull - Vettel and Bourdais Honda - Button and maybe, just maybe, Sato. Force India - Fisichella and someone else. Not Sutil. |
I think Ferrari,McLaren, BMW,Renault(Piquet could be out and then maybe Bourdais?) will stay the same and Williams and Toyota could be too on the same pairing of drivers.
Red Bull-Weber & Vettel Honda-Button & Sato Force India-Fisichella & ?(someone new) STR-depends who buy this team no thoughts for now So I'm predicting to Coulthard and Barrichello end F1 carrier |

please please... dave, trulli and rubens retire.
Dave's replaced by Vettel. Rubens by Sato Trulli by Nakajima (long shot i know) If sutil's out of the tandoori team, i reckon anthony takes his spot or even an indian driver from GP2 (the name escapes me). http://www.motorsportforums.com/imag...lies/smile.gif |

Bourdais was placed at toro rosso by Ferrari engine deal.
a hint that williams is after new engine deal. Williams regrets splitting with BMW http://www.itv-f1.com/news_article.aspx?id=42672 We can control everything else, but we're always looking for a healthy engine partner. Bourdais to williams if a Ferrari engine deal was to happen or Bourdais to force india if toro rosso do not use Ferrari engines |
ITV-F1 team to be axed in BBC switch?
http://www.crash.net/motorsport/f1/n...bc_switch.html Rumours persist that BBC's hugely popular Top Gear team – comprising Jeremy Clarkson, Richard ‘Hamster' Hammond and James May, as well as the infamous Stig – will play some kind of part in the shows, but there appears to be little room for any of ITV-F1's current line-up of Rider, Martin Brundle, James Allen, Mark Blundell, Louise Goodman and Ted Kravitz et al. |

If they don't take Brundle they're crazy. http://www.motorsportforums.com/imag.../roll_eyes.gif
Louise already has a new job http://www.motorsport.com/news/artic...D=290041&FS=F1 I won't miss Allen, Kravitz or Blundell (except it'll mean the end of this) and Adrian Chiles would make a decent substitute for Steve Rider. |
What are you talking about? I don't believe Räikkönen is going to leave after this season. Also I think Kubica will stay at BMW as the team is constantly making progress. I guess the rumours about Kimi and Robert have been created from nowhere.
Alonso is the key in the driver market. But I think the possibility to see him continuing at Renault has risen, especially as the car has made a tiny step forward since the start of the European season. On the flip side I have doubts about Renault's rise to the very top, especially as their engine is arguably worse than the ones of rivals and due to engine freeze they can't do much about it. But I guess Alonso might stay there for one more year and keep the hope of situation getting better and... then leave after 2009. Grosjean should become a Renault driver in 2009. He is too talented not to get a chance in F1.http://www.motorsportforums.com/imag...es/biggrin.gif My guess: Ferrari - Kimi & Felipe McLaren - Lewis & Heikki BMW - Robert & Nick Renault - Fred & Romain Williams - Nico & Kazuki Red Bull - Mark & Der Seb Toyota - Jarno & Timo Honda - Jenson & Marco (!) STR (or under a new ownership) - Le Seb & Bruno Force India - Giancarlo & Tonio If the outcome will be like this, it doesn't look like a "silly season", but more likely a "silent season" with only minor changes in driver line-ups.http://www.motorsportforums.com/imag...ies/tongue.gif |
If Kimi retires at the end of the season, Ferrari will sign Alonso...not Kubica http://www.motorsportforums.com/images/smilies/wink.gif
