So... all those, who have complained about Toyota's livery and the lack of its change, then feel relieved now.

An all flat black livery would be cool, but it doesn't sound like that is what they are doing.

"The Batmobile will even take to the Silverstone track on Thursday evening for a demonstration run alongside the TF108"

I wonder who will win?
I expect some pics from you attendees!

They've also revealed their special one-off team uniforms for the weekend:

"Quick Robin, to the Batmobile!"

"Holy petrol-electric Prius, Batman!"

Well, they've got Mandy from Hollyoaks in the new film, so anything could happen...

There's an inevitable sub-thread here too, with the number of F1 people who could play parts...

Lewis Hamilton as Batman: purely because he's still F1's most marketable driver at present. Just as long as he didn't try to leave the Batcave before the barrier went down (I'm basing most of these on the '60s TV series by the way)

Kimi Raikkonen as the Joker: they'd need some good make-up though...

Ron Dennis as the Riddler: have you ever understood one of Ron's press releases?

Bernie Ecclestone as the Penguin: definitely a resemblance, both in height and that squint they both have, between Bernie and Burgess Meredith's '60s Penguin

Sebastian Vettel as Robin: about the right age, good one to draw the female audience in, especially if he's in tights

Murray Walker as Alfred: everyone likes Alfred. Everyone likes Murray. Possibly missing the sobriety of the original, mind, and might be prone to accidentally blowing Batman's cover

Max Mosley as Catwoman: well, it's an excuse for him to wear rubber

While were at it Jean Todt would be my pick for The Penguin.
I would also cast Max as Commissioner Gordon.
You know that dude was into some whacked $h!t,
or else he wouldn't have to always call the Caped Crusaders to do his job.
Any number of Hamilton’s countless Bi-atches could play Catwoman!

I'd imagine that Norbert Haug would make a good penguin, he's got the physique for it.

Can we keep Alicia Silverstone as Batgirl please? She's got a tenuous link to F1 through her surname, and looks damn fine in a rubber suit

hmmm, didn't look that good without the special effects.

Still, I very much appreciate Christopher Nolans' take on Batman. He has gone where Tim Burton and Joel Schumacher didn't dare go, returning Batman to its dark comic-strip origins. It took 40 years to clear the image left by the animated TV series of what Batman originally was.

http://www.f1technical.net/news/9662
that is all??, only one small fin painted up????
nevertheless, more pure commercializing of the sport. Still waiting for tampex to buy some team and paint the car to resemble a giant tampoon, either new or........

At least when Red Bull or Honda do a PR stunt they pull out all the stops. I guess Toyota's arrangements with Panasonic et al don't give them that flexibility.

What can I say? Surely folks expected a more radical livery, but Toyota is such kind of organization, who never loses its identity.
Btw, besides the fin also I've noted that the side of the rear wing had a similar picture too. Not that it makes much of a difference.

Yeah... pretty disappointing I have to admit.

I was expecting something like RBR's superman stunt last year (or was it 2006?)

Toyota lacks image. It really does.

the toyota batman livery is half-done IMO. They should go all the way with it.
