The videos:
"Material Girl" "Like a Virgin" "Dress You Up" (Live Performance Video) Though "Angel" was a single, a music video was never made for it. A new mix of "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" was released as the final single from Madonna's "Something to Remember" compilation album in 1996. A music video was made for this release, but I'm not including it here. |

It drifts off at the end, but I do think this is a good record. I know it's routinely at the bottom of most fans' lists, and it's not exactly topping mine, but it really did push her forward. "Material Girl" and "Like a Virgin" have been played to death, but they have a certain slyness and humor that weren't on the first record and that are definitely key aspects to her appeal.
Though less iconic, "Dress You Up" is pretty much awesome X 1000. And I've always loved "Angel" ... it charted well, but tends to be forgotten. I prefer the STR mix of "Love Don't Live Here Anymore." |
