Sometimes, I wonder if the case is like this: She found out Pip, wrote teenage hustling, and realised that Pip has only got two and a half songs and one interlude. To consolidate Pip's personality, Tori wrote this to remain the vein of Teenage Hustling and increase the portion of Pip. In order words, this song is pointless to me.

It's mean and to the fucking point--visceral, just like it's supposed to be. Sums up Pip well methinks. Not every song has to be 4 minutes or have some deep profound existence. I turn this song on when I wanna vent and scream, and I shout it out at whoever I feel weak against/mad at/vulnerable in front of. Total punk rock, Tori style. And yes, Pip is my fav doll. I quite like the effect on her vox, I would've actually made it even crunchier, but the multiple guitars screeeching in the background fit well. The version she did for the G8 summit that year was pretty bad ass too.

But I enjoy the interludes on ADP for this reason, short and sweet, and breaks up the album a bit too. Devils and Gods is WAY better studio than that long ass live version.

Who would've thought back in 94 that she would end up making music like this in the future? I like Jim's post, and am also just glad that Tori Amos has a song called this lol.

I know it's not a GOOD song but I like it. I like to play it right before Professional Widow. They work well together, I think. It's probably one of the best songs on ADP for me, but of course I think most of that album is shite. And yeah, the fact that Tori has a song called that is just amazing. Imagine a newbie going to the record store after telling his mom about how awesome and empowering Tori is and bringing this to her. FAT SLUT?! It actually sounds like something Lil Kim would have on her records.

I once listened to Fat Slut a lot when I was pissed at my living situation and a particular person in it, and, being unable to actually change the situation due to a series of infuriating events, opted to stomp my feet instead. It was cathartic but never again.

That video is atrocious. I love that Tori shouting "cocksucker!!!11" got more of a response from the crowd than did segueing into the song itself. Who's playing the guitar? It sounds awful.

I know that Fat Slut sucks just because Tori already made Professional Widow.
PW expresses the same feeling, has that visceral, too in-your-face race, and it WORKS. It really makes you feel all that anger, it makes you wanna scream and dance and beat a nun with a bat.
