Here is the photo and feature on Joanna from the EotR programme. Sorry for photo of curved page, I don't have a scanner.

Thanks for the info on FLACs. I hope to try one shortly, even if my ears probably can't tell the difference. Good to know there's some good videos of her EOTR show. I'm sure fans will be happy to see recent version of Sadie.

Sawdust and Diamonds from End of the Road.

It's making me choke up big time. This is one of the most emotional performances I have ever seen from her, AND one of the most technically accomplished.

She seems to be having a problem with her voice at this show, at least on the higher notes. Still, it was really nice to hear Sadie.

ETA: And the last minute or two of Sawdust & Diamonds is kinda heartbreaking.

I actually like when she has to use her lower register. There's something really raw and guttural about that part of her voice that tugs at my heartstrings. I think it worked really effectively on that performance of S&D (which, yes, was heartbreaking).

Yeah, I like her lower register too. I kind of want her to use more of that on her next album. It sometimes looks painful the way she sings higher notes.

She seems to have reverted somewhat to her older, rougher voice. I kind of prefer it that way.

Well, that was incredible.

Also loving both the audience response and her reaction to the audience response

I know! She was so emotional and then they just BURST into applause. She hadn't even finished saying the word "there" and they were freaking. You can't help but smile when that happens!!

It was great to see. And it makes me really want to see her again. She's got one more date scheduled for December at the All Tomorrow's Parties festival and then I imagine that's it since she's been touring pretty consistently since the beginning of last year.

Maybe 2012 will be a focusing on writing the next album kind of year.
