HELP re Maxcoop
Isn't ANYONE going to tell me where your shopping mall is. http://www.granalacantplaza.eu/forum...lies/frown.png I asked ages ago on another thread. I'm non resident outside of Guardamar & would like to visit xmas trip.http://www.granalacantplaza.eu/forum...lies/smile.png
Thanks. |
Take the N332 towards Alicante, as you approach Gran Alacant the GA Centre is easily visable on the right from the N332. Take turning signposted as petrol [Repsol]. Follow slip road and continue to roundabout. Take 1st exit right which is a sharp right.
If you really want to go to Maxcoop, then as above but when you get to roundabout take 4th Exit, continue past villas on your right for about 2 miles at a guess. Turn right up the hill between Villas and Novadesta[?] Maxcoop is on your right at the top of the hill. Go on a Thursday and you can visit the street market near Maxcoop too - Double Fun..!!! |

Hi Jeansis,
Have seen your postings on another forum..... GA centre isn't really worth a special trip !!! There are no big name stores like Zara, H&M, etc etc, just a few quite uninteresting small shops, (except the shoe shop) banks, Mercadona, pet shop, and on the first floor restaurants. There is a good furniture and bed shop nearby. It's nothing like Habaneras at Torrevieja, or the Mall at L'Aljub near Elche. I wouldn't think your journey from Guardamar would be worth it really.. Maxcoop is a small supermarket, not in the GA centre, further up the hill . We like going there as it is nearest to our place... |
Sorry, but agree with Den and Rose......
Max Coop is a small symbol-group type supermarket (think big 'One Stop' in the UK!!) - great for many items, but only small... The GA Centre, whilst useful for local residents, is not worth a special trip from Guardamar, or for Xmas shopping.....sorry http://www.granalacantplaza.eu/forum...lies/frown.png |
Don't forget the furniture and home furnishings store in the GA Centre. They do quite a lot of unique items. Also some specialist kitchen items along with full kitchens, lamps etc etc. too many to mention.

As you say then, not worth a special trip but if we are in the area & have an hour to kill, it will be ok. Apparently there's a good shopping mall south of us (we are Guardamar) in San Pedro though we haven't been. Then there's Murcia with Ikea & lots of shops there but again I've only heard of it, never been.

UK anytime, muggings, mobile CCTV in shopping malls due to crime, litter, packed narrow malls, limited parking, expensive parking in city centres. Out of town shopping great for parking, poor for choice unless you want a kettle or a television. Sounds too good to miss, surely Murcia and Alicante are not that bad. I have always found Alicante to be a very pleasant place to shop.
