Actually I might be mis-remembering. I just looked up the minimum for "mentally gifted" for Philly schools and it's 130 so I had to be at least 130 since that IQ test put me in the MG classes.

Then again...

Each school district shall establish procedures to determine whether a student is mentally gifted. This term includes a person who has an IQ of 130 or higher or when multiple criteria as set forth in this chapter and in Department Guidelines indicate gifted ability. Determination of gifted ability will not be based on IQ score alone. Deficits in memory or processing speed, as indicated by testing, cannot be the sole basis upon which a student is determined to be ineligible for gifted special education. A person with an IQ score lower than 130 may be admitted to gifted programs when other educational criteria in the profile of the person strongly indicate gifted ability. Determination of mentally gifted must include an assessment by a certified school psychologist. So my remembering of 128 may be accurate.

Because of one of Hera's threads, I came across an SAT to IQ conversion chart which indicated that my IQ should be 134 based on my SAT score but that's purely correlative.

And with that, the notion that high IQ and a high SAT score are correlated is blown completely out of the water.... You guys brought up SAT as a measure of intelligence, not me.

I think it speaks volumes that you view intelligence as the sole domain of those people who agree with you on the political spectrum.
