It's not only disturbing, it's ****ing ridiculous. Everyone knows you don't put fixed, random, complicated images as the background for massive amounts of content. It's excessively busy.

I'm a ****ing computer science graduate and I've got a better grasp of aesthetics than the ******* who raped my eyes with this design.

It would be a tremendous waste of bandwidth if it did not contribute so much to this site.

Is it just me, or is scrolling less responsive than it should be?

Lots of browsers, including Firefox 3.6 and earlier, have scrolling performance issues over fixed background images, like the gorgeous ones here. Any web designer should know that.

It's silky smooth in Firefox 4 nightly builds, though. Doesn't excuse it.

The quick, simple fix is to just let us use the default vBulletin theme, which is usable. Why it's been ****ing removed is as much as a mystery to me as the concept of how anyone can think this design is nice.
