Default Two awesome beasts from Chrysler!

Both have the 5.7L HEMI. Apparently the SRT8 Jeep has been spotted. Will have the 6.4L HEMI.
THANKFULLY, Chrysler finally got a new V6 that is supposed to be sweet, both have the 3.6L 290hp motor.

Chrysler seems to really be upping their standards drastically. Ram is a great product, gets good reviews, Interior has been compared to German level of quality, the Cherokee is getting great reviews and I'd imagine the Durango as well cause they both are on the same platform.

I think that this is supposed to be a teaser for the new 2011 Charger.

It is what segment it is in. It is related to Mercedes M-Class. Want something smaller, get something in a smaller segment?
The Cherokee is the same length as a Honda Pilot, and just 5 inches wider. The Pilot is 3 inches taller. Just depends on what segment your looking at.
The Cherokee is right where it is supposed to be, and something that I would LOVE to have. It is the right size for me too.

The Durango is going to be a little longer to better fit a 3rd row.
It'll be nice once Chrysler can trash Mercedes 5-Speed Auto.

So Chrysler is using a Mercedes transmission, while my BMW is using a GM tranny.

I was going to say. I thought the movement now involved pushing towards higher fuel economy. GM seems to be taking this route.

I think you reversed these. as for those two four wheeled transportation devices. ****. Hideously ugly. But I guess that goes with the territory as well, doesn't it?

fail
FAIL
FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Out of the 3 major american autos... Chrysler is behind by A LOT...
I was hoping Fiat would quicken their pace into evolving into a decent brand..

Both Ford and GM have improved quality, aesthetic design, motors, got rid of their stupid models, brought smarter more practical models, and came up with new designs...
Chrysler to begin with fail at all of those categories... And they havent gotten creative. They are still making big, muscle car like, not practical, and fugly ass ****. Chrysler is like a one trick pony...

Honda, known for fuel Economy
Pilot 4WD 16/22
Pilot FWD 17/23

Cherokee 4WD 16/22 (offer 3 different systems)
Cherokee RWD 16/23

Very competitive, plus has more power our of their engine.

Yes Chrysler uses a lot of Mercedes products. Mercedes did buy Chrysler as you all should know. Chrysler wasn't the best of companies back then, and Mercedes ran them into the ground. The CEO made Chrysler cut 40% of interior costs no matter what it took. Chrysler did a fine good job at doing that. I guess the Germans still have some resentment?
The Cherokee and Charger platforms are Mercedes, German suspension is used a lot, the 5-Speed Auto is Mercedes, and Mercedes has some rights to the new V6 series that Chrysler developed.
BMW does use a transmission from GM, but it really isn't GMs transmission, as long as you are talking about the Hybrid one. It was a joint venture with 3 different companies, so it is BMWs just as much as it is GMs.
EDIT: Oh yea, Chrysler was the other company.

You can say that GM is doing fuel economy, which they are well, but depends were you look.
Chevy Traverse AWD 16/23, FWD 17/24 and has a 6-Speed. The Pilot and Cherokee only have 5-speeds. So really not all that much difference.
You get into Sedans, that is a totally different story, because that is were fuel economy is being concentrated at, I'd say mostly due to Trucks/SUVs having different EPA requirements.

Chrysler is behind by a lot, but products like the Ram, the Cherokee and now Durango are just showing how fast they can bounce back. I would like them to do Sedans and smaller SUVs, which are all getting minor changes as well, mainly the Charger I think, but I can understand the trucks and SUVs coming first because that is what Chrysler sells the best. Start were you make your money, then move down the table.
For 2011 models, their 3.6L is going in basically everything, and most everything is getting a lot of changes. Avenger, Sebring, Charger, Patriot are all a few that have been seen on the road in disguise. The 3.6L should really help them propel themselves, and make products like the Wrangler and Caravan that are already good, better. Of which the Wrangler has a new interior and it looks nice. A lot more expensive then what it was.
http://www.allpar.com/SUVs/jeep/wrangler-2011.html

Apparently, someone is working on an 8-Speed auto for Chrysler that should be out soon. Supposed to be used in the SRT8s and the Diesel truck. Supposed to handle some 850 torques. Once that transmission gets here, we will also see the Cummins diesel crank out a lot more power from the factory.

Which is the real shame in IMO the way Jeep have gone from a decent off road platform to a generic crossover SUV. None of which really matters to me it will be a long time before I ever touch a Chrysler product again. Their manufacturing was just too damn shoddy. Which incidentally is why God's Gonna Cut You Down was such a fine choice for their new Grand Cherokee add.

That would be a donation my friend. And they already got that in the sum of $4,000,000,000 thanks to the tax payer.

Man, what kind of vehicles do you guys like in this segment. I think that those 2 rides look hot. The Charger is so so.
