A belated Happy Birthday, Apolyton Civilization Site. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/cool.gif

[DanQ] cared moar for his own radio show and personal popularity, using this site as a stage, instead of the site itself and community.

I am disappointed to learn that you still feel that way, AAHZ. If what you say were true, I would have shut the site down rather than work to ensure a transition of ownership so that did not happen; I also publicly acknowledged that it was time for me to step aside when that transition was announced in addition to doing so. That I am even able to take this aside with you here is a further acknowledgment that I left ACS in capable hands. That is what was, and is, important for this site and community.
Robert, Jeroen and company: I'm looking forward to seeing what you have in store for Apolyton CS as, I have seen and heard some refer to it, "Poly 2.0". (Can I quibble with the version number? http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/wink.gif)

founded, even though it didn't exist before... I think the word "founded" should be replaced with the word "discovered"

Hmmmm. The definition of "founded" includes "to set up or establish on a firm basis or for enduring existence". If it had been "discovered", then would it not in fact have existed before? http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/cute.gif
Isn't the English language colourful? http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/biggrin.gif

Without Apolyton I would not have learned about civ3, civ4 and civ5. That would have saved me tens of thousands of hours.

There's the "enduring existence" part I mention above in practice. http://www.discussworldissues.com/im...ons/icon14.gif
