Double down on the heart attack.

Jesus...

Kghyutgykim 09-02-2009 02:31 AM

Actually that is making me feel rather peckish now I look at it again http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...milies/lol.gif

Creva4k 09-02-2009 02:33 AM

Yeah, us Europeans just aren't far-arsed enough to be marketed something like that http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/tongue.gif

I was talking to Oerdin. That being said, it's pretty rich of you to make fun of fattening American food when you come from the home of the deep-fried Mars Bar...
Scotland? Never been there in my life.

And shall we compare obesity statistics? You first http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/tongue.gif

plalleste 09-02-2009 02:46 AM

Yeah, we do. But you Americans truly take the biscuit...and three bowls of chicken wings, a block of lard, several tubs of ice cream, all followed off with a dollop of mayonnaise http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/tongue.gif

Goksiodiffeli 09-02-2009 02:50 AM

I'm almost sure that whart-shaped Double Down is looking menacingly at me http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/scared.gif

Dude, you have fish'n chips. And even worse, you get a free bag of crisps with just about anything you order. Prawn Cocktail... http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/redface.gif

The best flavour across the canal is sour cream'n onion. And as far as references go, that's a pretty bad one http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/frown.gif

dselectronics 09-02-2009 02:54 AM

OMG, no wonder you guys have so many allergies and eating disorders etc...http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...milies/eek.gif

It's not really an apples-to-apples comparison given the size difference between the US and the UK. Plenty of American states have obesity levels closer to France or Spain; it's the British-like Southern states that skew up our numbers.
We have differences too...we're not that small. The Scottish-like Northern states skew ours too http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/tongue.gif

antonyandruleit 09-02-2009 03:00 AM

Bah http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/redface.gif

Our chocolate is meant to be savoured. It shouldn't be gobbled up in large quantities http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/nono.gif

Our only vices are indeed chips (and beer). But, the chips aren't quite as greasy and big! Also, our chips have evolved beyond mere mayonnaise. Nowadays it's andalouse, tartar, samurai and a shitload of other crap that rule the waves.

Gymngatagaica 09-02-2009 03:01 AM

Dude, andalouse is just mayo with other crap added in. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...milies/lol.gif

Yes, you are. Well I suppose compared to your waistlines we are http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/biggrin.gif

PH, did you know Scotch eggs were actually an English invention? People from the country which invented hard boiled eggs wrapped in sausage and then deep fried have no room to criticize other people's eating habits. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/wink.gif

thing looks kinda good lol. But 1200 calories is a bit much. I do believe in a high protein diet, however. The white bread bun that most places gives you is worthless. So why eat it? So I like the concept of ditching the bun. But this is overdoing it.

However it speaks volumes that in order to qualify something as "Scottish", it needs to be wrapped in animal fats and then fried.

Even Worcester sauce, Cumberland sausage and the English Breakfast? http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...milies/lol.gif

Why's it so important where it was invented anyway?

apatteopipt 09-02-2009 08:44 PM

The bottom 3 are not native to you Brits obviously. "Southern" is undoubtably referring to the American South. Those, along with Salt and Vinegar are available here in the states in most food retail stores. I will happily cede you the Salt & Vinegar. Trying to figure out why the origin matters, since if this stuff kills you, it isn't going to take you home. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...milies/lol.gif
