The Highs and Lows of the Life of Britney SpearsThis is a story of a girl. She’s been called a diva and a pop star. She’s been called lost, troubled, and dysfunctional. Her name is Britney Spears, and these are the highs and lows of her strange and different life.
Things got off to a flying start for squeaky clean 18 year-old Britney Jean Spears. Her 1998 debut, “Baby One More Time”, topped charts across the world, turning her into an overnight sensation. As a former New Mickey Mouse Club member, competing gymnast, performing arts school student and talent show contestant, you could say she was well-honed for the job. One year later, and with a hit debut album under her belt, Britney had scooped more awards than she could possibly handle. By 2000, Britney was quite the jet setting glamour puss. Her second album, Oops...! I Did It Again, once again came stacked with hits. Along with global fame, naturally, came cash- Lots of cash. This was the vertex of her career. Things began to get worse. Britney Spears suddenly began to change from the nice 18-year-old pop star into Britney Spears – The Publicity Machine. Britney began to act as if she had gained some newfound maturity. Her performances became more and more suggestive. She recklessly married a childhood friend, divorcing him two days later. Later on, though, Britney married Kevin Federline. She then announced her decision to break from music and start a family. The couple's cringe worthy foray into reality TV - Britney & Kevin: Chaotic - well and truly took the shine off Britney's public image. As far as her nastier critics were concerned, she'd returned to her true roots: "trailer trash". She was seen by the paparazzi driving with her son perched on her lap instead of in a seat restraint, further battering her star status. Just as things appeared beyond repair, Britney did what many had secretly been hoping for - dumped Kevin. Just two months after the birth of her second son, Britney filed for divorce. This had the opposite effect that many thought it would, however. Spears’ had become a nightlife fixture ever since her divorce. Sadly, Britney didn't bounce back so much as stagger wildly from one pear-shaped crisis to another. Soon, she checked into a rehab facility and then just as quickly checked out. That Friday, she returned to Southern California – and she shaved her head completely bald. Spears herself later wrote in a letter to fans on her Web site, "If I were you I'd be unhappy too if I had to read what I've been reading every day. But trust me, I get it. I know I've been far from perfect and the media has had a lot of fun exaggerating my every move." And so the spiral began; that quickly, she went from top to bottom. Even now, we still hear the quiet echo of her past. Sometimes, if you’re quiet enough, and believe hard enough in the drama fairy, you may be able to hear a sad, grievous voice: “LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE!” *** Sigh. Its the worst rough draft I've ever done. It's supposed to be for Math, actually. A short story referring to a parabola. Creativity is a must. I dont find it interesting. Make it funny, yet still based on reaching a High, and then falling back down to the lowest possible. |

Your math class is pretty screwed up if you have to write a story involving math concepts.
Actually, if I were in your position, I'd tell your instructor he/she/it was an idiot, there's no reason for anyone to write a story like that. Either way, turn it in and if the instructor throws a fit you can just blame it on the instructor's inability to differential between an English and Math assignment. |
