My new job sucks like a black hole. It's been a week and I already hate it.

They hired me under false pretenses, claiming there was going to be lots of overtime (the only reason I agreed to the low wage) that they'd have a work station ready for me, that there was no office politics. This place is nothing but office politics, and I still don't have a computer. I'm using a test computer, with a freaking 19" wide monitor.

All of the employees are in a state of fear and loathing.

On the way home from work on Friday I actually thought for a moment, well, if I kill myself, I won't have to go back on Monday.

I gotta get outta there, but having accepted the position, if I quit, I won't get unemployment.

The funny thing is, I'm an atheist, but I don't want to jinx anything, so I'm not gonna talk about why I want this job until I know whether it's mine or not.

Oh, and I had two more calls and an additional email about job offers today. WTF!?! Nothing for months and eleven in less than a week (not counting the obviously fraudulent positions).
