Default Dog Toys
Sent the dog off to get spayed this morning, and it got me thinking... she needs more toys. What are some good dog toys? I need something really durable. She's a rot/lab mix and she can destroy just about anything. The only things to hold up so far are a nylabone (half gone) and a couple of those really thick rubber kong toys. I bought her one of the tires once and she completely destroyed it. She's down to just 3 toys now.

I'm also contemplating drilling a hole in her cone at the top and trying a small dog treat to it. Would that be more mean than it is comical?

I have a black lab, and he chews through every toy as well. Really, the Kong toys are pretty much the only thing that last.

I have a black lab too. The kongs hold up the best. Never need to replace them. We also get him the nylabones. They last probably 3 months before it's too small and I need to throw it away. He will try to swallow it whole when it's about 3-4 inches long.

Another toy we have for him is a rubber ring. It looks to be made out of the same material as the kongs and has held up really well.

I'll have to go get one. She likes to play, and that sounds like a good toy for not getting my hand covered in slobber.

My father-in-law taught him to loop the ring on your foot and pull. It's pretty funny, but can be quite annoying when you don't feel like playing.
