That's flat out not true. The overwhelming numbers of new HIV infections are in Africa, where the vast majority are heterosexual, followed by congenital. But that can't be right; Africa is where the pope just counseled people against using condemns. If Africa were where AIDS was spreading fastest, and spreading by heterosexual contact to boot -- why, that would make the pope a font of pure evil!
