how to ask this question
Is there any possible way to confirm this without committing a massive faux pas?
No. Just forget about it. |
Eh, lots of smart people have eccentricities/etc.

What if she's not?

Yeah, that's it. A girl certainly isn't worth your time if she's offended that you think she's autistic...

Don't listen to them! Give in to your curiosity and lack of social etiquette.

Well, speaking as a confirmed, diagnosed Aspie, I know you shouldn't ask my opinion, because I'm a confirmed, diagnosed Aspie, and phrasing things tactfully is most definitely not one of my talents. It'd be like asking the Pope how to get laid.
But I wouldn't bother. It's possible (though autism is more rare in females), but if she's gone this long undiagnosed going longer won't trouble her much. My GF is probably one too, and her mom, a special-ed teacher, had her suspicions, but she decided as long as her daughter was doing fine there was no need to burden her with the label. Plus a lot of people would get offended, because they're stupid and don't realize we're a superior race. That's just how inferior you lot are. |
Harsh.

I already apologized for my less than clear remark, but I don't feel the need to Minitruth my remarks and make other posts look irrelevant. |

Not really. I'm just a little surprised how utterly predictable everyone here is :P |
