Paranoia/unfair prejudice or legitimate security action?

I'd like to hear exactly what was overheard. Somehow I think it was more than was stated in the article.

I'm sure people may have over reacted because of what they looked like but until I know what was said, I'd reserve judgment. There's a reason they have signs about not joking about bombs when you're in the security line. Just because you fit the profile doesn't absolve you from not making jokes. I've seen them pull idiots that didn't fit the profile from line that thought they were being funny.

But you will note that the only accout given for what was said was from the people kicked off themselves, who obviously have cause to downplay their comments as much as possible.

I, like rah, would like to know what the people who reported them heard (or thought they heard).

I heard they were discussing where the safest place to sit in the plane was. Who among us has not had that discussion?

When the FBI goes to the airline on behalf of the family, and the airline still refuses to let them on the plane, it's time for a lawsuit. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/angry.gif

And, just so you guys know how I really feel, AirTran is a ****ing piece of **** and I hope the company ****ing crashes faster than ValuJet Flight 592.

I agree, I took my first SouthWest flight recently and have to say I was quite impressed on how they ran things.
Their business model is superior and the reason for their success compared to the other airlines. Too bad I have to fly out of midway instead of o'hare to use it, but it was worth it.
