I know. But when Cohen the Barbarian and His Silver Hoard go off the conquer his Empire in Interesting Times, there's going to be continuity problems.

Wasn't as good as Hogfather, but then neither were the books. The Rincewind actor wasn't as wrong as I thought he'd be when I saw him as Albert, but he was still not the right guy for the part. They did away with Snapcase and just made Vetinari the patrician ten years too early, and then gave him the most bizarre accent/lisp I've ever heard, which I was annoyed by since he's one of my favorite characters. The issues with Twoflower have been mentioned, but Cohen looked just like all the artwork I've ever seen of him. Kinda disappointed in the parts that they cut out, and there's a somewhat suspicious correlation between the parts removed and the parts that would cost a lot to shoot, but...oh well. I liked it overall and I still hope they do more. As long as Jason David isn't Vimes in the next one.

Well, Zoid has it.

The important point here is that Pratch had become a far better writer since the first books, which are far below the level of his later masterpieces.

Night Watch is one of my favorites.

Thud -- not so much.

I just finished Making Money, which is a worthy sequel to Going Postal.

No book about witches....unless you count the Triffany Aching triology: Wee Free Men, A Hat Full of Sky and Wintersmith.
