Many people are going to think of this as being in poor taste, but what would happen if we made a concerted effort to heap post-humous ridicule on the people who do this sort of thing? What would happen if these guys knew that in the aftermath they would become the butt of jokes around the country for years to come?

Yes, I understand you. I was just pointing out that we tend to do the opposite. Many of these shooters want to go out in what they see as a blaze of publicity/glory and then we go and oblige them. I don't want to know their name. If it was someone I knew I will find out w/o the press telling me. If it isn't someone I know then his name does me no good.
