Default So I went to the Chicago Auto Show today, I brought home a car!
Well, kinda.

A 3' x 2' post of the Nissan GT-R. I like the ZR1 more, but I don't deny that i like both and wouldn't turn down a chance to own either of them.

The car looked very nice in person, though I think I liked the Nismo 350z more as far as looks go. Still, very cool

You tricked me! I thought you got a new car. LOL

Btw, I would take the ZR1 any day over the GT-R.

It's more a photoshop than a photograph.. plus the poster size is not that great.. standard size, I recon it's printed on about 135gr/m² machine coated paper or 150gr/m² mc paper.

Standard full colour ink, partially duct fresh.. not sure about quantity.. perhaps 5000 sheets printed of it.

Meh... can think of better things to have..

they do have the grain direction right tho.. lol.

You just brought home a 25 cent worth of paper with the most caution and effot... Have fun ! [rofl]

You can shut up now. Who cares if its real, a photo manipulation, or a complete digital painting. Its still the GT-R in a poster. It was free too, but I would have payed the usual price for a poster which is about $3, it'll still look good framed on the wall.

But then he won't have enough remote to hold down a poster.

I got the same poster when I went to the car show in San Francisco back in December.

Here are a couple pictures I took of the Skyline when I was there.

i think if nissan heard you saying it was a skyline you would get slaughtered

skyline is based on a family car in japan, this is a custom built car for the job

From the official Nissan GT-R site.

"With sales due to start in Japan in December, Nissan is today also confirming the final name of the car. Previous generations of this car were known as the Skyline GT-R; the new name for this car is simply “Nissan GT-R” in all global markets. "

Looks more like a B1 170gsm Silk printed 4 colour process with a seal or a good machine varnish to me

As for grain direction, well it doesn't really matter if it isn't being folded

Very nice but I would still take the new ZR1 over that.

I had rather get a Dodge Viper then a ZR1. Get the Henneysee kit thats good for 678hp and I think some 600ft.lbs and it still cost less then $100,000.
Plus maybe even look into the ACR type for the decrease of some 80lbs of weight.

The Corvette is nice and all, but expensive, and you see them everywhere. No one will take a second look when you are in that car. I drive a 240z and everyone stares and takes a second look. It is great watching it happen. I get people talking to me all the time when I am out of the car, and even when I am inside on the road people give me a thumbs up and what not.

I am not exactly sure, but I would think that this wouldn't happen in a Corvette because they are quiet popular on the streets.

You could always just get the GT-R, and the money that you have saved, get the baseline Corvette and slap on a supercharger. The two cars, plus a few Corvette mods should equal the price of the new ZR1.
