Nonidentical twins parted at birth end up married.
Were they from Norfolk, by any chance? :curlytails:
|
I wonder how long they were married. Did the courts annul their marriage regardless of their wishes?
That must be tough, happily married a couple years and then BAM its all over. Sure there is a taboo for good reason, but what a mind **** http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/frown.gif |
I could just see the massive difficulties with future relationships coming out of this.
Councilor: So what do you think is the root cause of your relationship difficulties? Twin: Well... I was abandoned by my birth parents and then ended up unknowningly marrying my sister after we'd been ****ing for 3 years. Councilor: (Drops pen and note book.) http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...milies/lol.gif |
Truth is stranger than fiction sometimes. Charles Dickens is probably in the corner taking notes.
Would you blame these folks for sticking together despite the annulment? |
So never marry somebody with the same birth date as you just in case!
|
Actually, a lot of voluntary incest occurs between people who didn't know each other growing up. A lot, in this case, being a relative term. (Drum roll please!)
|
For some reason, this creeps me out.

Is it any better if she's not your fraternal twin but your little sister? http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/scared.gif I suppose it works if you marry someone who is within 9 months but more than 2 days from your birth date. |
That must be tough, happily married a couple years and then BAM you're genetically brother and sister. corrected.

Something's fishy about this story. Apart from being quite a stretch chance-wise in and of itself, you'd think that the couple would have started having some sort of realisation that something was up once they noticed they shared the exact same birthday (of which I figure they'd each have knowledge), which would have had to come pretty early on in their relationship. Frankly, this discovery probably made them giddy with excitement "We have so much in common! This is another sign we're meant to be together!" Love can result in some pretty bad confirmation bias http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/wink.gif. |
Siblings given up for adoption should be sent to vastly different places, for example the boy could be sent to a rural or even deserted area to live with relatives, the girl sent to sophisticated liberal city ware she would follow in the political dynasty of her adopted family. This would ensure that should they meet they don't have anything in common and don' fall for each other. But as a last case defense the boy should be have an older dashing roguish friend whom the girl would fall for instead.
P.S. Their should also be two droid companions one spunky and one cowardly for comedy relief throw in as well. |
I guess I can understand this. If I had a twin, he'd be damn sexy! http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/wink.gif

That's what I thought, the odds are miniscule. However the link is to BBC so I don't know, could be true. If someone has bothered to research this more please post. |
