When people doing studies don't think things through.

They didn't smoke cigarettes either.

Back to disease, if you don't bathe, live with my livestock and wear the same set of clothes for your whole life then yes, it is because of your lifestyle.

Does it say anything about microwaves?! http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/scared.gif

Spec.

This 'study' is typical attention-seeking band-waggoning bullcrap. ZOMG modern life is teh baaaadnesss, mmkay?

"modern eating habits are dominated by biscuits, cake and sweets."

Dominated? I don't think so. That's hysterical overkill. I doubt many here have a diet 'dominated' by sugar.

The life of a middle-age peasant was one of unremitting misery, squalor and serfdom, punctuated by plague, crop-failure and witch-hunts.

Microwaves, they're only a few feet long. Meh. You know what's worse than microwaves ... radio waves. Some of those ****ers are miles long ... you can be walking down the street, minding your own business, and BAM! you hit a radio wave that goes from 16th street all the way to 33rd street. ESPN AM-1000 just nailed you with their wave, and you're going to be feeling the angry banter of Yurko and Harry for another twenty minutes of walking. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/scared.gif

Plague, crop failure, and witch-hunts have nothing to do with their diet, which was actually quite wholesome. http://www.discussworldissues.com/im...ons/icon14.gif

The article does say that daily calorie intake has been falling in recent years. It seems the big problem is people are not doing as much physical activity.

I would say that overall our life is much much better than that of a medieval pesant, good diet or not.

soy ice cream http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...milies/lol.gif

ya know, milk products won't kill ya. and fat won't kill ya. The anti fat craze in the 90's was horrible. Everything was loaded with sugar to make up for the fat.
