Honestly I prefer a totally empty desktop, except for a my computer icon or somesuch for quick access when i'm feeling old fashioned. I have a ton of junk on my first monitor, but it's because I don't use it at all functionally, so I do't bother cleaning it up much. At work I have nothing on the desktop except what gets shoved there by the login... everything's in taskbars or the start menu
