Border agent ignored warning for TB traveler
the poor inspector probably has TB now, go easy on him and stop your blaming. the good news is that he was on the no fly list. he had to drive into the city thus reducing the spread of the disease. i want you to realize TB is not our enemy. radical muslims are our enemy and if this gay was on the no fly list and had a muslim terror lineage there would be no discretionary warning it would be a GET THE **** ON YOUR ASS MTG STYLE

DHS really is the worst agency ever.

2) Why isn't he facing criminal charges since he was warned not to fly by the CDC? Seriously, can you imagine being the person who sat in the next seat to that guy? I think they are waiting to see if he lives. At a minimum its reckless endangerment. If anyone catches it and dies, he should go behind bars for a looooong time. |

At a minimum its reckless endangerment Really? If you think you might have a disease then it's reckless endangerment to walk around? I know that there have just recently been a few successfully prosecuted cases where somebody who knew he had HIV had unprotected sex and passed the disease on. Has there ever been one where somebody merely thought they might have a disease and who has been successfully prosecuted for infecting somebody else? |

When he was in Italy he was informed he had the disease and they'd come get him. He cut his trip in Italy short, then flew to Prague. Then flew to Montreal and drove over the border because he KNEW he was on the no-fly list! He was doing his best to evade because he knew he'd get flagged for a flight back to the states. |

Why the **** would he do that instead of just waiting for the CDC to pick him up? It doesn't even make any sense. He went to additional expense and trouble for no benefit to himself I can see. That'd be the $64,000 question. |
Possible. Strong impulse to "just get home."

Then he's just an irresponsible idiot (snapped, or maybe he was already that way).

I don't know if that's a shot at lawyers or a shot at me. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...milies/lol.gif

The funny part about all this is that he's a personal injury lawyer. You'd think he above all people would know better than that.
Also, how soon would you imagine it would be that the moronic agent will be fired? |
|
I heard that as well. His actions seem informed and intentional to me.

Yes, the Lawyer's father in law (he just got married and he was traveling for his honeymoon) works at the CDC.

I liked that movie.

He still flew in addition to driving. NEWSFLASH he flew a czech air flight to canada --- HE WOULD NOT have been allowed to fly into the United States. this is good. DHS was doing its job and makes sure no one on the no fly list can get a plane into this country. i am so sick and tired of all the DHS bad mouthing going on here. oh my god someone got into the country with a disease and might have infected 10 people.guess how many people died in 9/11. keep your eyes on the ball and quit bashing people who make under $35,000 a year like the border patrol agent or krazyhorse or anyone like that. it is not a cool thing to do, many people make less than that a year and are probably better people than anyone you'll ever meet. hell your 1st grade teacher who taught you grammar was probably making under $30,000 a year and yet you still remember her. |

Wow! You sure read alot into my post. Chill dude. If I was bashing anyone it was my country's officials that appear to have helped in dropping the ball on this. |
There is a legit claim for medical monitoring costs. Throw in a claim for mental distress and/or "fear of TB" and there ya go.
