I think you're safety would be in danger, considering the whole Matthew Sheppard thing. It just goes to show you the state has a long way to go in protecting you.

Wyoming is OK.

Montana is nearby and they are good neighbours.

All I've seen is Cheyenne, and the highway running west.
Along that route, the best thing I saw were interesting rock formations.

I am a frequent traveler in Wyoming. I love Jackson Hole (one of my fav places) and the Grand Tetons are beautiful. I worked with the Park Rangers there for a couple of summers so I got to see all the things that regular travelers miss out on. However, there is a huge chunk of the state that is filled with NOTHING. I mean, there is nothing around but prairie dogs and wind in your face.
