Well, compliments of the transmission tearing itself apart in my car
![]() So... I'm back on the market for a new daily driver. My only requirements are that it be sporty with 4 doors... and from one of 3 manufacturers: Nissan, Mitsubishi or Subaru. There's no possibility of switching from those three, because in the event we move to WV when LadyM completes her residency, I would like to have a dealer closeby. That quickly omits BMW, which is pretty much the only other option I'd consider. So here's what I'm considering: 2010 Nissan Maxima SV w/ Sport Package 2010 Mitsubishi EVO GSR 2010 Mitsubishi EVO MR 2010 Subaru WRX (Wagon) w/ Premium Package 2010 Subaru WRX STI Now, the Maxima is what it is... there's not much that I'd do to it aside from maybe the Stillen lower front lip, skirts and rear corners... and their exhaust and an AEM CAI. The EVO or WRX would be another story entirely... I'm relatively familiar with the EVOs, knowing that the MR has just a few upgraded components to make it what it is. I'd likely get the GSR, knowing that I'd be putting better components in it than the MR has anyways. ![]() The WRX is a different beast to me... My family has owned a few Subies over the past 30 years, though never myself personally. After I chose to purchase my EVO VIII in 2003 over the STI, I haven't look back in their direction until now. So the big question: What would I be LOSING by starting with the WRX Premium rather than the STI? I know the 6Spd tranny... but what else? Does anyone know of a side-by-side comparison other than what Subaru themselves provide, particularly from the tuners point of view? Spanks! [thumbup] |
