Default Just measured myself with the tape measure. 30.5 inches!
I am, of course, talking about the hair on my head. I've never had long hair in my life, but I was always curious what it would look like with some length. Well, 4.5 years later, I know. It's thick and wavy and I get a lot of compliments, but I think I'm at the end of my patience with the work involved. Each summer has been an escalating exercise in frustration with periodic instances of sudden rage (got it caught in a fan two weeks ago, and in a door that closed behind me about a month ago). I sweat a lot, it's been 30c outside for weeks, and I'm up to 2-3 showers a day now just to stay ahead of the knots.

I always knew I was going to donate it, but I never knew how much work it would take to grow a 2.5 foot mop on my head! I think it's almost time.

Just thought I'd share that. I don't think I've made mention on Futuremark that I've been growing out my hair. Any other hippies on here?

Had it short and had it long - to a little below my shoulder blades.
Didn't find it a problem except a couple of times getting caught in car windows.
Just gave it a single wash in the mornings and it was less oily than when short - wick affect?
Perhaps all the washing is irritating your scalp and it's producing excess oil because of that?

I had long hair, was shoulder length all over. I liked it until after I began my chosen profession as a diesel tech. I would keep it in a ponytail but I got incredibly tired of running it over with my creeper, got all oily and just a friggin mess. So long story long, been doing my own buzz cuts for 16 years now

We need some before and after shots [surrender] (when you get it cut!)

\Was thinking the same, or a vid of the moment the clippers go in and 2.5 feet of hair is reduced to 0.25 of an inch in the blink of an eye.

Oh, waters, you're so long!

I haven't had long hair since the early 90's. Miss it sometimes, but I don't miss washing it, blowdrying it, etc....

Dude, it was the late 80's. You had to have both volume AND length back then LOL.

Oh, the things we used to do to get the ladies...

Same here. After I got out of the big hair stage I wanted to clean up the top and keep the length in the back and rocked a mullet for awhile. I had it that way before it was actually called a mullet though, and got rid of it before mullets really caught on. It was still a mullet though lol...
