16 and i'm not allowed to date though
Why, is it because it's some school policy or is it your parent's/guardian's rule?

Well tell your grandmother that if she wants to see you happy, then she should let you date this girl

Well tell your grandmother that if she wants to see you happy, then she should let you date this girl
ask the girl first

just ask her if she wants to "go see a movie or something"
if she says sure ask her if there is a movie she want sto see this weekend
if she asks you to suggest the movie suggest something middle of the road, not a total guy movie or chick flick.

or w/e, just ask her and try not to get to anxious about it.

ha, has worked for me in the past
if you have reason to think she is into you then all you have to do is go for it, don't make it overly complicated.

1. Don't so something stupid.
2. Invite her out to a movie, DO not mention the term, or word DATE, or anything related. Simply put you'd like to spend time with her. When said movie is done, and you're walking out, talk to her about it for a few, and calmly/ politely say "hey, maybe next time, could we count this as a date"?. See what the reaction will be, she'll prolly blush and say sure, that should kick-start things.
3. If she says NO, be calm and chill about it. Just pick things back up about the movie and tell her you'd see her later after you 2 part ways for the night.
4. If she says YES for it being a date, well then my friend, just do what you feel is natural. Ask her to come over for dinner and let your parents know you had asked someone out, are are bringing them over.

5. Smile, always smile. Never forget that, and never be someone you are not, just be yourself and have a good time. You are young, just be patient and let nature take its course.

Never let the girl make the first move.....just take initiative and go for it. Past actions should never reflect on how you feel now. My first gf, was from highschool, soph year, and how? By what I just told you. We dated for about, 8/9 months. Was fun for a while I guess.

Yeah, never wait for the girl. You have to make the move yourself. It works out a lot more than you would think. I was the same way for the first half of high school.

Just do it. It'll boost your self esteem by a huge amount. This shy crap is nothing but crap, so don't worry about it.
