regarding the OP,

if this were posted in dabate forum then it would have been locked because in that section it is a requirement for the OP to contain enough information to get the debate going

but since this is off topic that is not required.

imo his OP contained exactly the bare minimum required (an explanation for what the abbreviation stands for)
