Yep, it's much better from a tap.

I didn't like beer before I tried Guinness, personally...

You almost DO need to eat a Guinness.

I think that Guinness is one of the world's most overrated beers. It's weak and lacks flavor. Granted, I've never been to Ireland, I don't really like stouts that much, and I don't really like British-Irish pub beers (Boddingtons, Belhaven, etc.) that much.

If I have to drink a mass produced British beer, I'll take a Bass every time. British Pale Ales are delicious (as are British Brown ales and IPAs.)

It's stupid to buy alcohol anyway. Think of all the things you could better spend that money on. You're paying money to poison yourself for a short lived buzz that makes you feel like **** in the morning. Doesn't sound like getting my money's worth to me.

Slowwhand, you are just uncivilized is all .

And yes, I've had Guiness in a can/bottle. It ain't bad. With the can, you just have to remember to pour it into a glass and with the bottle drink straight from the bottle. The can is better (ah, glorious widget), but the tap is best.

Let me guess, you've never felt physical pleasure before, or at least not any kind involving another person. otherwise you'd understand and not sound so foolish.

My thought exactly, there's no head at all

Sloww, Guiness can be real good on the can or on tap. The bottle is Extra Stout I think. It's not as smooth and creamy as a proper Guinness should be. Try the Draught or go to an Irish bar

Besides, now I am off shifts I have far more tolerance to the stuff than I did. After a week of earlies, two or three beers and I was gone. The only time I drink now is when I am meeting old uni mates (twice since end-Feb, pretty poor really!

I'm guessing that you've never had a drink before (maybe you're not old enough to drink or, even worse, maybe you're Mormon )

Getting a buzz doesn't make you wake up feeling like **** in the morning. Getting drunk does, but getting drunk takes effort by most people. I have to drink 12+ beers in a night to even feel a bit rough the next morning, and moore than that to truly feel like crap.

A relaxing beer or two is great any time, as is a glass of wine. A margarita at the beach on a hot and sunny day is heaven.

Hey EyesOfNight, are you a straight edger or something?

Talk to any of my friends...they will tell you I certainly don't lack ability to interact with others with or without alcohol.
