So why is our favorite moderator so shocked and offended by my "ignorant" and "stupid" post? Does it have more to do with the fact that I badmouthed his boy, the emperor of the world, George W. Bush, by suggesting a link between the Bush administration and the coups in Haiti and Venezuela, than anything having to do with his favorite forbidden word?

Things that make you go "humn":

1. I remember reading a while ago that 900 US troops are and have been stationed on the Haitian border on a rotating basis for at least a year. Were they there when the Haitian "commandos" crossed into Haiti to drive out Aristide? Were they there when these Haitian rebels acquired their guns, uniforms, flack jackets and training on the Dominican side of the border?

2. Are we really to believe that the DR air force evacuated foreigners from its embassy in Port-au-Prince - operating numerous missions over a period of a week? Where were the choppers serviced and fueled? Who were the pilots? Inquiring minds want to know.

3. Is it not odd that the rebels were armed with M-16s but without the ubiquitous RPGs that any rebel army worth its salt would have? Was this because the CIA has learned that the really nasty weapons can sometimes end up being used against Americans?

4. All of that said, does anyone have an idea why the US cared one iota about ousting Aristide? He wasn't Bush's house ni--ger like Hipolito (and what a wonderful "get out of jail free" card being Bush's house ni--ger appears to be), but he wasn't buddy-buddy with Castro/Chavez either. I think only history may tell.

You have to remember that when a conservative uses the N word it is a racist slur. When a Liberal uses it it is "Artistic license" and freedom of expression.

So far I have only seen 2 photos of M-16 type weapons being used by the "rebels" in Haiti. Both are of dubious origins. I have yet to see any verifiable video. Still doesn't matter. It is all just consiracy theory.

RPGs are Soviet era weapons. Hard to come by in the Western Hemisphere unless from Cuba or Peru.

Aristide was installed by the US Goverment after his first ouster. he had his chance abd blew it big time. His negotiated resignation and evacuation helped prevent what was sure to be a bloodbath. Of course some people can not handle the fact the US did the right thing.

U.S. Congresswoman Maxine Waters claims that Aristide told here over the phone that he was kidnapped by US forces and taken from Haiti. This is the same Maxine Waters who said that "her people" would burn down L.A. if O.J. Simpson was found guilty.

Why should anybody be surprised that 20 Haitians snuck across the border from the DR? Hundreds sneak across the border ever day comming into the DR. I am sure that the military does not have Haitians sneaking back into Haiti as a high priority!

I heard on Pacifica radio for the last two days how Aristide was taken out of the Palace in handcuffs, escorted by 12 US marines. Looks like a overthrow by the US. A ABC reported had a 5am interview and witnessed this. Aristide spoke to Maxine Waters and told her he was kidnapped. Tom F.

And I could mention how XR apparently (his post was rather confused) decided that the "N" word somehow derides the skin color of George W. Bush (or Hipolito Mejia?), but I won't, because that would suggest that he wanted the "N" word to be a red herring - focusing attention away from the real issues. We'll have to give XR a pass, since, after all, he's a close personal friend of Bush. Sorry, XR, didn't realize you guys were frat brothers back at ole Yale.

Well, LT, since both Criss and I used the "N" word, and since you made quite clear in your post that you will not associate with anyone who uses the "N" word IN ANY CONTEXT (I know how you feel, I hate it when Seinfeld calls that restaurant cook a "soup nazi", or when Rush Limbaugh says "feminazi". Great news! From now on, every time someone posts a new thread, and for whatever reason, personal prejudice or whim, someone takes exception to the subject, they just have to reply with some offensive comment, and the whole thread gets zapped.

Just for reference. There were two posts where Haitians were described as 'bastards' and one where I said the person who posted this had a 'nasty, narrow little mind'. Such hard work.

Aristide was democratically elected. Aristide was not talking with Castro/Chavez. Artistide was not harboring "terrorists". What the hell was this, then? Texas speculates CIA and/or DEA. This along with US cooperation in the attempted coup in Venezuela really exposes the Republicans as having an agenda that has little to do with promoting democracy.
